You have completed the book review. You have chosen your book. ...but why? What drew you to this story or this particular book?
The theme of our "Senior Read" unit is the idea of "Windows and Mirrors". Would you say that this book acts as a window or mirror for you? No need to give specific reasons (as it may be personal) just let your fellow reader know how this book functions for you.

I picked All American Boys because to hear about real life experiences shared, catches my interest easily. To clearly understand and acknowledge what the author went through , can make me read on and on. I would see this book as a window, I believe this will be one the best books I will read and ever read.

I picked "All American Boys" because I am very passionate about racism, in the way that I believe that it wasn't right during the 1800's and isn't right today. I see this book as a opportunity to educate myself more on this topic so I can educate more people about racism. This book is very realistic in the story because this is exactly how cops treat african americans and it is beyond wrong.

I picked "All American Boys" because I like the style of the story. Also, I like what the book is about. I think of this book as a good way to give me insight on how others lives are, How the world works and how society sees certain things. It's a good book that really shows you how some people are targeted on how they look or act. To an extent I relate because I have been targeted based on how I look, Not as badly as rashad, but still singled out because of how im perceived.
